I love a good love story almost as much as I love a good glass of wine. Winery 32, in Leesburg, Va., has both. The vineyard boasts 32 acres, 32 peach trees and grape vines planted on owners’ Roxanne and Michael Moosher’s 32nd wedding anniversary. Oh, and the views from the tasting room are beautiful.

Planning a visit soon? Winery owners Roxanne and Michael Moosher share some of their favorite pairings and tasting notes from the Winery 32 menu.

  • BBQ  Pulled Pork Sandwich with house slaw & the 2012 Cabernet Franc, which has a medium body, cherry nose, and fruit forward palette.
  • Veal and Kale Meatballs over penne pasta & the 2013 Thoroughbred Blend, a Bordeaux style blend with a Virginia twist (blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot- the twist is the addition of Chambourcin).  This wine is full bodied with notes of tobacco and tar, with  pomegranate and chocolate covered cherries on the finish.
  • Carnita with Salsa and guacamole & Gloria’s Sunshine, one of the winery’s signature peach wines, made with fresh Gloria Peaches and blended with Vidal Blanc.  This wine is off dry with 2% residual sugar, but is not a sweet wine.
  • Ratatouille crepe with feta cheese & the 2013 Chardonnay,  which is oak fermented, sur lie, aged in 30% new French oak and 70% neutral oak to create a full bodied, lightly oaked Chard with delicate flavors of apple and pear.
