This Virginia Wine Month Pairing is bought to you by a bit of girl power.

Kirsty Harmon is the wine maker and general manager of Blenheim Vineyards in Charlottesville. If you head there this weekend, or live in the area, check out her super local wine pairing:  the 2014 Cabernet Franc & grilled Black Pepper Garlic sausages from JM Stock Provisions, also in Charlottesville.

“The sausages from Stock are always awesome, but this sausage (Black Pepper Garlic) is a real match with the Cabernet Franc because it brings out the spice and bright cherry character of the wine.  A tiny bit of Dijon mustard and a Martin’s potato roll are all you need.”

Is your mouth watering yet? I have yet to make it down to any Charlottesville-area wineries, but Blenheim is definitely on the top of my list.

What’s your favorite Blenheim Vineyards wine and what do you like to pair it with? Let us know in the comments below!

This post is part of a series of local pairings from Virginia’s wine makers, winery owners, and wine lovers for Virginia Wine Month.
